An introduction to the basic building blocks of a novel, including character, setting, story goal, and conflict.

Have you ever wanted to write a novel? Do you have an idea but aren’t sure how to translate that into a compelling book?

One of our residents, Rebecca Talley, will be offering a hands-on workshop. Come with your questions and ideas and be prepared to roll up your sleeves and do some work.

Rebecca has always loved creative writing. She is the author of ten novels/novellas as well as a children’s picture book and chapter book. She has also authored numerous children’s stories and articles for both print and online magazines.

Rebecca has served on the conference committee and board of directors for Storymakers, a national authors’ guild, and has served as president for an online writing chapter of American Night Writers. She has also presented at writing conferences and judged writing contests.

This workshop is open to all MNW residents fourteen and older. Come join us!
