Boil Water Notice for Community Public Water Systems (WC # 114)

Boil Water Notice for Community Public Water Systems (WC # 114)

Due to reduced system pressure, the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality has required the Harris County WCID 114 PWS No. 1010317 public water system to notify all customers to boil their water prior to consumption (e.g., washing hands/face, brushing teeth, drinking, etc). Children, seniors, and persons with weakened immune systems are particularly vulnerable to harmful bacteria, and all customers should follow these directions).

To ensure destruction of all harmful bacteria and other microbes, water for drinking, cooking, and ice making should be boiled and cooled prior to use for drinking water or human consumption purposes. The water should be brought to a vigorous rolling boil and then boiled for two minutes.

In lieu of boiling, individuals may purchase bottled water or obtain water from some other suitable source for drinking water or human consumption purposes.

When it is no longer necessary to boil the water, the public water system officials will notify customers that the water is safe for drinking water or human consumption purposes.

Once the boil water notice is no longer in effect, the public water system will issue a notice to customers that rescinds the boil water notice in a manner similar to this notice.

Please share this information with all the other people who drink this water, especially those who may not have received this notice directly (for example, people in apartments, nursing homes, schools, and businesses). You can do this by posting this notice in a public place or distributing copies by hand or mail.

If you have questions concerning this matter, you may contact the District’s operator, Eagle Water Management at 281-374-8989. The District is working diligently through the unprecedented weather even to maintain water system operation. Please reduce water consumption to reduce the demand on the District’s system.

February 2021 Freeze Conditions – Pool and Bathroom Closures

Due to the impending winter storm and safeguarding of our property there will be no access to the lap pool or to the tennis restrooms until the freeze passes.

We appreciate your understanding regarding this matter and will update you when the facilities return to normal operation.

We have taken steps to prevent frozen pipes. Don’t be alarmed to see the family pool running during the cold temperatures to prevent water lines from freezing.

We will update this post when there is more information or the facilities have been prepared for use again.

New Trash Service for Memorial Northwest

New Trash Service for Memorial Northwest

At the November 3rd, 2020 Memorial Northwest Homeowners Association meeting the board unanimously accepted the assignment of the Trash Collection Contract from RRRTX to Texas Pride. Effective November 15, 2020 Texas Pride will become the provider to Memorial Northwest for trash collection Services. We are very excited to be partnering with Texas Pride for this important service for the next 3 years. Texas Pride will be hitting the ground running and has hired a number of people who were already working on our collection routes. This allows them to already know the routes and the special needs of the community.

While we do expect exceptional service from Texas Pride there could be changes in their pickup times or their methodology. If you need special services please contact Texas Pride to discuss your needs.

The terms of service and the rates for Texas Pride have changed slightly from the services we previously had with RRRTX. We are discontinuing back door pickup. The board was presented with back door pickup or curb side. The selection of curb side was nearly unanimous. The monthly rates for the trash service are also being reduced and the contracted CPI rate increase has been frozen for 2 years. The monthly rate for trash service will be $21.79/month plus Sales Tax. The trash pickup days will remain Monday and Thursday. Recycling pickup will continue to be on Thursdays.

In November you will receive a billing statement from Texas Pride with a welcome letter. Please contact them regarding setting up your automatic billing process and making sure you are on the electronic billing. Texas Pride does charge a fee for paper bills.

Any balance owed or credits on your account with RRRTX has been transferred to Texas Pride. If you have prepaid your trash payment the credits have been transferred.

Please visit the Trash Services page for more details.

If you have questions regarding the new Texas Pride contract or trash pickup please comment below.

Neighborhood Tennis Leagues

Neighborhood Tennis Leagues

The MNW HOA Board has approved our neighborhood tennis league teams to begin hosting league play. League play out of our facilities had been put on hold due to the COVID virus. The Tennis Committee and HOA Board is shooting for a 10/19/2020 start date. We are not making promises but this is the goal.

Each player and opponent is required to sign the MNW COVID waiver before entering the tennis gate/facilities and to follow specific COVID Match Hosting Protocol recently approved by the HOA Board.

If you are a team captain, co-captain or league player and have not received an email with the COVID protocol, contact Lynne Sanders at lynne.sanders@cbunited.com

And, as always, if you would like to learn the fabulous game of tennis, Lynne would love to hook you up and help get you started.
