MUSICIAN’S CORNER – Brainstorming Meeting @ Community Center
Apr 20 @ 9:30 pm – 10:30 pm
MUSICIAN'S CORNER - Brainstorming Meeting @ Community Center

“Brainstorming Meeting” at the Memorial Northwest Community Center.

“NO INSTRUMENTS” for this meeting please, as the purpose of the session will be to exchange ideas, and plan what we wish to do in the future. Looking forward to meeting everyone and hearing your visions for the group.

NOTE: For those, who had not seen the original post it was posted on April 1st I have included it below.

I’m thinking of setting up what I’ll call a “Musician’s Corner” for Memorial Northwest residents. The exact format will be developed along the way. In general, it will be musicians or singers meeting once a month at our CC and either jamming, collectively writing music, or if we have enough folks who have performed, eventually putting together a concert for our residents in the future. It would be a fun way to meet other creative people and do some music making.

If you are a Memorial Northwest Resident and would be interested in this sort of thing, please email me, and I’ll set up a meeting date.

Seniors Together Group @ Memorial Northwest Clubhouse
Apr 23 @ 10:45 am – 12:00 pm
Seniors Together Group @ Memorial Northwest Clubhouse

On April 23rd at 10:45 AM to Noon, we will hold a monthly get together in the Community Center’s meeting area. This will be for Memorial Northwest Senior residents to participate in socializing and conversation about common interests. This will be a great way to make some new friends in our wonderful community.

Now I know someone will ask, who is a Senior age wise? For this group let’s use 50 plus or minus as a general guideline, but if your age is close, and you wish to attend, come on down, you’ll be welcome!

SPECIAL NOTE: Since some seniors do not use social media groups, they may miss this announcement. If you have neighbors who are seniors and may want to attend, please pass on the information. Thanks so much!

COMMUNITY DISCUSSION GROUPS @ Memorial Northwest Clubhouse

COMMUNITY DISCUSSION GROUPS @ Memorial Northwest Clubhouse

On Saturday May 11th from 10:00 AM to Noon, then continuing once a month, we will have MNW Community Discussion Groups. They will be held in the meeting area of our Community Center.

The discussions will be in a slightly different format then the previous ones. You don’t have to sign up ahead of time; just show up. We will, in addition to adults, also invite our youth residents ages 16 and up. We welcome their participation.

Each month we will have a group discussion about a pre-assigned topic. The purpose of this group will be multifaceted. First, it’s a great way to make new friends from our community. Secondly, it acts as an educational tool as we can all participate in a civil and respectful dialog about topics that impact our lives.

All Memorial Northwest residents are invited. We ask that we all keep the conversation civil, respectful, and friendly as we are all neighbors in a wonderful community. I will moderate each meeting.
