Chaparral Management Company, formerly SCS Management, will be replaced by FirstService Residential. The board made this decision based on Chaparral’s change in business practices and key personnel that made parting ways the best course of action.
FirstService Residential will provide a full-time property manager at our community center. This will bring convenience and continuity for our members. Additional technology and back-office support will be provided so that our property manager may focus on serving our association members more effectively. This transition to FirstService Residential will help us further protect property value and enhance the quality of life in our association.
The transition is expected to occur on September 1st. Please be patient as we make this transition.
It sounds like a step in the right direction for a 2000 plus subdivision
Communication in the past seemed to be a problem. I’ll cross my fingers
Suggestion for Trash Pick Up.
Add the yearly amount to our Homeowners Dues.
Hi Ryan, to get single pay trash billing is it necessary for a community vote?
Kudos to the board for getting this done!
Does this mean our HOA fees will increase?
This change does not cause a rate increase in and of itself.
In the event we were in the process of getting a Architectural proposal ready to be sent for approval, do we still send it through the current portal or to whom do we send it?
Proceed as normal until September 1st implementation.
Thank you Ryan and all members who have been so amazing in keeping our community wonderful!
When Chaparral (repeatedly) cannot understand that my cracking driveway was caused by an underneath COLLAPSE DUE TO STORM SEWER UNDERMINING – but blames me, it is time to send these MORONS to XXXX!! XXXXX, I learned to HATE them!
AMEN!
Very Good, The action to change management companies was needed and is welcome.. I have experienced excessive issues in communications and results with SCS. However, a full time person on site seems a bit much. If this adds to the expense I would like to recommend a trial run and then a reevaluation. Someone that will answer the phone and respond at the main office would seem sufficient. Full time, in house, representation seems expensive. Certainly the change is warrantied and welcome but we seem to have traveled from one extrema end of the pendulum to the other. The center seems be the most advantages in the big picture. A company that answers the phone, responds, and communicates would do the trick. Seems this would be a less cost if done in the main office of the service company.
On inside person is wonderful. If that means we can actually go there to ask questions, pay our fees, turn in paperwork or a request, I am ecstatic!
This is going to be very good. I am so excited about getting the new management company installed.
Management companies are at best necessary evil. Best approach to resolve issues and create goodwill was 40 years ago, when Ms Narimore will visit you with concern and seek your input. Why not now? I can’t even figure out my area director on website. Who to contact for area 6?
Management is not mindful of severe draught conditions, extreme heat and electric poles in yards and sprayed with oily paint and c/o patchy bare ground spots. So many lawns are brown on Theisswood road. Would they prosecute or evict so many people?
IS ARTIFICIAL TURF PERMISSIBLE instead of grass?
we are watering yard everyday but it will take rain and time for grass to regrow. Please think.
