Authorized Adult Swim Announcement

MNWHOA is happy to announce the reopening of our facility on Friday, May 29, 2020

The Memorial Northwest Home Owners Association Board of Directors is happy to announce the reopening of our facility on Friday, May 29, 2020.  Most areas of our facility will be open.  We are opening with a few modifications.  The Pool will be limited to 25% of its designed occupancy.  Tennis, basketball court, and our walking path, will also open.

Attached you will find a Waiver and our Amended Policy.  Please look at both, as our policy has changed.  Entry to the tennis and pool areas will be gained with your biometric fingerprint. Importantly, the waiver must be signed THREE BUSINESS DAYS before you will have your fingerprint turned on at the entry point.  Waivers should be submitted via email to Kristen Wells, our office manager.  If you are unable to email the waiver, you may make an appointment.

Some of these procedures are different, but they are in place to help us maintain as safe a facility as possible.  We are adhering to State and County orders and encourage you to do the same.   The HOA has been working to safely open since State and County orders were signed.  Thanks for all your patience!

Important Waiver Information

Read the waiver document carefully and in its entirety. It must be executed by all adults desiring access to the community center and must list all minor children residing at the residence.

After downloading the waiver, please print it, complete the form and sign it. You may return by scanning the document and emailing to memorialnw@comcast.net or use the form below and ATTACH your scanned image of the signed waiver. The waiver must be signed and submitted THREE BUSINESS DAYS before your fingerprint will be enabled for use.

If you need to make an appointment with the Community Center manager to submit your waiver please complete the form below to request an appointment.

Community Center Status Update

Community Center Status Update

A few residents have inquired about the timeline for reopening our MNW Clubhouse and facility.  Pursuant to GA-18 and Judge Hidalgo’s Second Amended Stay Home, Work Safe Order 1.(f), which collectively govern our facility, closure is mandated until May 20, 2020, under the current county order.

We are planning to reopen the facility as soon as the orders allow and it is safe to do so.  We are reviewing health and safety standards so that when we reopen, we do so safely.  We are also trying to follow the state and county orders as they change.  The CCMC is developing a plan that requires consideration of social distancing, cleaning and mandated reduced occupancies. All these factors are required to be in place to open responsibly.

Thank you for your patience during this unprecedented time.

Community Center Status Update

Updated – COVID-19 – MNW Community Center and Property Closed Through May 15th [Updated]

Update – We had hoped to have the CCMC open by April 30th but we are still not at a point where the Community Center and rest of the property can be opened. We are hoping the expiration of the Governor’s Executive Order GO-18 will free things up a bit more. The current GO-18 is set to expire on May 15th unless the Governor issues a new order suspending it or extending it. We understand the desire and frustration many people have with wanting the facility open. If you have questions regarding what can and can’t be open please read the GO-18. (Read it here)

The county has update their Stay Home, Work Safe order to be through April 30. Due to this we are closing the Community Center, Gym, Pool, Splash Pad, Playground and Tennis Courts to public access. The property will remain closed through April 30th. The reopen date may change depending on country or other government orders or other local conditions.

You may see the Harris County Sheriff office using the facility for our contract deputies so they have a place of refuge away from their regular facility.

We will reassess the status on a daily bases and will update this post and send email to the distribution list if status changes. We are disappointed we must do this, but in the interest of everyone’s health and safety we believe this was a necessary decision.
